One of our old, old holy men said, "Every step you take on earth should be a prayer. The power of a pure and good soul is in every person's heart and will grow as a seed as you walk in a sacred manner. And if every step you take is a prayer, then you will always be walking in a sacred manner."

Walking, every step a prayer, is the perfect prayer. The Mother answers each step with exactly enough pressure for us to take the next step; what more can we ask of a prayer?
I learned this from my Grandfather, walking the hills at Wild Cat Point, back in Cherokee County, Okla. after suppers in the '50s, though of course he didn't use the pejorative "prayer." Grandma did, and did it wonderfully.
This practice coincides with my latter-day guru, Thich Nhat Hanh, and mindful walking. He also teaches the concept of interbeing, the interrelatedness of all things. And THAT goes straight to fractals, and the fact that everything IS related. Sometimes, we have difficulty making that connection.
Sometimes I think we've all met before.
