--Tonight the full moon is over Niu Valley at the Hui Nalu Canoe Club Luau. It fills the sky. Honolulu is one of thousands of cities beneath the glow.
--Fourteen years ago on this day Krista Rae was born in Tucson, Arizona. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. She came out with her eyes open. She was determined to make it out this time. Her birth had been artificially stopped a few days before by a doctor who refused to listen to her mother and I that it was the right time. We'd always been in disagreement about the due date. Beautiful girl showed up with blessing rains edging the mountains.
