It is a tradition that I practice as an Okanogan woman., My name is percy Sla*la lezard, I am from the wolf clan, born into a family of mover and shakers, bread makers and fire keepers. My mother's people and her territory are in the Okanogan, a place just west of here. I am my mother's daughter and community member to the Kou Squilxw and extend an invitation to the hosts for having me as a guest in their territory. I would like to give my thanks and gratitude to the people of the Anishnabe territory; a place that is Indigenous to the Anishanabwe people also known to be the people of the puckered moccasin (Mississauga of the New Credit), and the people of the 6 Nations Iroquois Confederacy or also known as the people of the long house or the people of the flint.

This post on your blog reminds me of this one that I came across in a moment of confusion in my life, in an email as a signature....

~~Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves...Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps, then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.

Respectfully & in solidarity,
