Keeping it Up

Okay. I haven't blogged in awhile.
Can there be too many words?
Too much communication?
We can only hear the soul in silence.

Hi Joy,
Really do enjoy your name popping up in the emails. The photos are great and they always say something. There are loads of things we all have to do, but this is not one of them, so if you are not in the mood, or don't enjoy it at present, leave it, can't imagine any of us are going anywhere. take care. susan

That is so true. You know something? I never started scribbling until I lost my physical hearing. Ha! I guess silence does mke you listen to your Soul more.

Odd for a poet to opt for silence, but then why not, that is the pervue of meditation, astral projection, enlightment, and lots of other spiritual travel. I watch my youngest daughter with her latest cell phone grafted to her face, texting, shooting movies and pics, surfing the net, listening to music, with no time to even make a phone call, and I wonder how in hell we old timers got by without this cursed technology. Jungle telegraph, owls calling our name, pigeons cooing, dogs barking, wind chimes, night birds serenading the darkness, rain pelting a tin roof, windshield wipers setting up a jazz commute; all in the silence, yes, in my mind I clearly hear the leaves dancing on the great maple in my yard. Thank you for reminding us about the grace within and without.
